Welcome to Kawami🧸🌈☀️
Kawami is above all a family story, an adventure born in 2024 from a passion for crochet and dreamlike universes 🤩
Savie (pronouns: they/them, non-binary🏳️⚧️) is the creative mind behind the adventure. It's Savie who finds inspiration, manages social media, and ensures every customer is pampered. Living with invisible disabilities and chronic illnesses, this project has become a refuge for them to express themselves and a way to share their interests despite their daily challenges. Every adopted plushie directly contributes to their medical care to improve their daily life! Look for their ruby red rollator/wheelchair at conventions if you want to chat with them ♿️♥️
Mylène (pronouns: she/her), Savie's mother, is the hands of Kawami. She crafts each plushie with such passion that you might spot her crocheting on public transport in Toulouse! Not a minute to lose when there are plushies to create 🧶
Florent (pronouns: he/him), Mylène's husband and Savie's father, is the man in the shadows who handles logistics. He ensures that every order is carefully prepared and shipped to you! Without him, there would be no plushies in your mailboxes 📦
Together, we create entirely handmade crochet plushies with care, inspired by anime, K-Pop, Pop culture, and kawaii culture, hoping they will bring a warm and comforting touch to your spaces 🥺 Each creation is unique, made with 100% Oeko-Tex certified polyester yarn and no animal fibers 🌱
We are based in Toulouse, France, and all three of us participate in conventions. It's always a joy to meet our community in person, so don't hesitate to come see our plushies and say hello! To find out about upcoming dates, follow us on Instagram and don't miss any of our appearances 👀
This project wouldn't be possible without our community, so thank you all for supporting our small family business — it means a lot to us 🥰
